TalkingSpace Plus follows a stepped care approach.

Step two is part of TalkingSpace Plus and is led by our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. The treatment options here include CBT-based courses on depression and anxiety, guided self-help and support through a computerised CBT program. These options are sometimes called “low-intensity”.
Step three is also part of TalkingSpace Plus and is led by our Psychologists and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors. Treatment here usually involves groups for specific problems or one to one sessions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) or Brief Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). Counselling for Depression, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT), Mindfulness based CT (MBCT). These options are sometimes called “high-intensity”.
Once you have started therapy, you and your therapist will review your progress together and you will be discharged on completion or if necessary you may agree to step up (from two to three) or step down (from three to two) or step across (to another specialist service).
